Update: 5KW kit ready!

Pleased to report that there are two 5kw systems boxed up and ready to go to customers in North America. Rob has polished and beefed up the kit once again.

The new 5KW kit is a 20% increase over the 4K kit most people have. This kit has been stripped back and is a very simple installation. We are expecting ~220whp and ~200wtq on 93 octane on the usual Dynojet/SAE. In addition to being simple to install the controller has been upgraded to support the additional power that can be consumed by the system. The old wiring harness has been removed as it was very time consuming to create. Instead we now have one wire to activate the unit that runs to the fuse box, one wire that runs to the pedal activation switch and one wire that runs to the voltage display. The voltage display is no longer required, if you dont want to mount it, simply dont connect it....the system will turn on and off with the ignition. All wires are color coded and can only be connected to their respective connector.

I want to stress this again, the system is meant to be for road use, part time. This is not a full time FI system. The system at 5kw will give ~45 seconds of continuous full boost (1/2 boost ~ 2 minutes) at which point the pack will be automatically recharged. Odyssey PC-680 batteries are the supported power source and starting battery.

Full disclosure and transparency: "The List" is a nightmare to manage. It is increasingly difficult to find people that are still interested, etc, etc, etc. In the interest of fairness the next shipment will work like this: Top 10 people on the list will be PM'd, first two to respond with confirmation they would like to purchase via paypal will get the kit. On the next batch anyone else that responded will get first dibs, people that dont respond will be removed.

Thanks to everyone that has stuck around, happy to answer any questions regarding the new system.

Cheers,

For those that are wondering, i do have the OFT tune package. As far as next shipment goes we will wait to see how these two get on before moving ahead with more.

I am very excited to see some new people installing this kit, the 5KW is a beast for sure.

I may as well chime in right now as well... I have installed the OFT flex fuel system and I am in the middle of finalizing the tune for the Phantom 5kw system with Shiv. I'm pretty sure we are pretty close to finishing and I would recommend it to anyone who is jumping between e85 and 91.

I dont know exactly what you have but i think the power will be similar to the big one you installed. The main difference is the new voltage display and the delete of the wiring harness....it actually makes installation easier because the wires that need to go into the cabin are very small and easy to route. The new voltage display looks pretty cool in my opinion and is very small now, you can mount it anywhere and no need to turn it off or on. I will see if i can get a picture and post it up!

very nice! Glad to see progress and update on this. Flex fuel is a great addition.

Now:
1. Is this real? Does it actually make more power?
2. Can I buy one? I have money now!
3. What mods am I gonna need for this?

I AM JOKING PEOPLE. Just the typical stuff we constantly see lol. I had a phantom kit on my car for a while-it was damn nice.

Great to see Rob and crew continuing the refinement of the product. 220whp and ~200wtq on 93 pump gas is going to make people very happy.

My v2.0 kit is still chugging along reliably. Installed in Feb 2014 and upgraded and running on e85 since 2015. This configuration is still putting down ~235/~210 at sea level and is FUN. Flex fuel kit is also on deck. There's no doubt in my mind that the 5kw kit @fenton describes above would hit the ~240+ whp/215+ wtq range on e85 at my elevation. That's not a guarantee of any kind, but I don't see how it could miss those numbers. The first person to install and run this please post results. Fun times!

The waiting list is very discourage. I would like to try it, must feel like "v-tec yo" and with final gear upgrade will be great combo.

Funny that you mention that. My car is currently at a differential specialist shop for a repair, I asked them about a final drive change. They said with my current power levels/characteristics, gearing, and wheels, that the factory 4.11 final drive ratio was actually the most ideal. I was asking about a change either up or down (3.89 up to 4.88).
