I never leave things to a single point of failure. I always put the jack just touching next to them, as well as putting a wheel under the frame next to where I'm working. Would suck to scratch a wheel, but I'd still be able to scream for help between the crying.

This right here. I always leave a wheel or ramp under each side skirt.

Anybody that ever used a stock bumper jack is probably well in the habit of placing a wheel under the car even if just changing a tire!

Thanks...I'll have to double check the part number when I get home...but pretty sure I have these. Fortunately they (nor the Craftsman pair) did not fall when I used them while installing the TRD exhaust a couple weeks ago.

I usually leave the jack in place too if I can as a backup (after transferring weight to the jackstands). These look like every jackstand ever, however. I wonder if other retails are going to start doing recalls too because they are all made by the same factory...

Just a heads-up - the red Pittsburgh jack stands in the picture look like exactly the same casting as a set of Sears/Craftsmen jack stands I have. Same 3 ton weight rating as well.

Luckily I only use these as backup jacks. I would bet more recalls are forthcoming.

Went to return the ones I had. Got $20 gift card. Could have sworn I paid more than that but oh well. The store I went to (the only one in the area) was all out of jack stands

Got to love bumper jacks. That was even a new one that went into a slot in the bumper, the old ones just hooked under the edge.

Same here, anytime I have to do work under the car a wheel goes under it too. Which is good because all 4 stands I was using fall under the recall. When I did my clutch and subframe I had the whole car as high as it would go on those stands.

They should all go back to China like all the millions of faulty N95 masks that they shipped to Canada.
China has definitely cemented it's place making crap now.

Lol!.. Must be.. Anywho, I order a set online. No rush. Used a 20% off code that basically took care of shipping.
