Garage
Stage 1 of this install finished up last night. Hopefully will get everything else done tonight, provided my tune gets to me from Moto-East.

Well, as expected Most shops won't touch the header and the dealer says $95 just to look at it and not do any work.

If anyone has a way to help, I'd appreciate it. At this point the status is: Two threaded studs inset into the header, connecting to the overpipe, sheered and snapped clean of leaving not enough thread to nut it. If I could get the studs out, I could replace with 2 bots, but no shop seems willing to touch it.

Do you have an aftermarket header? Or are you replacing the overpipe?

I say buy an aftermarket header. I know it can be expensive, but you will be happy with it. Nobody would be happy spending money on an OEM header. JDL might be able to help you out if someone doesn't have one for sale locally.

This, or buy a new header. Vivid/Agency Power have units in stock in the $500-600 range.

Wait, isn't Dallen selling his Borla UEL? $300 is a hell of a lot better than paying the dealership what they are charging. Plus, you have an OFT to take advantage of!

Vehicle has an aftermarket over pipe. CBA Machining will take the broken bits out, but I am looking at about $150 plus the cost of gaskets since I'd have to take the header off to take to the shop. I don't have a garage so this is minimum 2 days with the vehicle on the street.

I had a leak in the gaskets at the over pipe which is what started this whole thing. $8 worth of gaskets...

The wife isn't exactly happy and funds aren't really should be put to other things. I've offered to sell the OFT but my wife understands this is not what I want and is trying to be super accommodating. I'm hitting a point where I feel like I am causing too much stress and tension. so it's not as easy as "just buy a new header".

Aside from the rattle, There are rubber bushing and grommets and such that could, in theory, be getting damaged by the high heat.

Call JDL and ask if they have any spare stock headers lying around. They had two last time I was in, but that was a long time ago.

Solution -- @JonMotoring is going to hook me up with a catted Manzo EL header. I really owe it to them for helping me out on price point and they've been a blessing to work with.

As much as I want some of the other brands they have available, it's just out of price range and since this is a need not a want, I gotta go with what will get the job done.

Again, Thank you to everyone who offered advise, help, or in some cases, wrench time.
