Smile petition to divide into norcal/socal regional subforums

gauging interest in splitting this regional forum into two more appropriate subforums: one for northern california, one for southern california.

i don't think there's much reason to keep both together. most car forums eventually break CA down into two regional subforums. the stickies we've already got here demonstrate the need for subdivision.

nothing against my socal brothers and sisters, of course. stop by anytime

Definitely needs to be separated. It would be way more convenient

I disagree, Its a valid place to post, but i think posting it in the california subforum is better because all the california people will see it. whereas it would go unnoticed in the forum suggestions subforum. But I guess its all up to the mod

yes please, especially since we are always talking past one another about which is the true South Bay and we NorCal peeps get confused when you talk about Ontario. LOL

good idea; went ahead and linked this thread over there for mods to notice. as estey mentions above, the initial thread's gotta be here in the CA sub-forum where CA members will actually see it and weigh in.

thanks everyone for voting

Let me get this straight. There's a single forum for THE WHOLE OF ASIA (including Japan) and you're petitioning for the California forum to be split in two? :sly:

Yep. If you see how many people post on California compared to Asia, there's so much traffic. I'm sure if HK and Dubai had the same amount of traffic CA has, you'd probably ask for the same.

it's not about breadth of territory; it's about matching the regional forum to the proper sized group of active members. there are always more ca members on car forums than most/all other regions.

in the meantime, let us know when the Asia subforum finally makes it to page two

I'm just ribbing you guys, but yeah, carry on...

Having said that, I do find it a bit pathetic that there is one forum for the whole of Asia.
