installed pioneer AVH-x4800BS- custom dash

installed the pioneer AVH-x4800BS. it was about a half inch too small on each side and didn't want the tacky finish of a dash kit so i customized the dash with a dash kit and filled in with bondo, re-wrapped it, and got the OEM look. Got the dash idea from another thread (cant find though).

I should do this. I like what you did with the mic.

o yea i forgot about the mic. Yea it really wasnt hard. I had never used bondo but it wasnt to hard. just time consuming to do layer after layer to make it even with rest of dash. to fill the gap before you bondo you should buy a dash kit and glue it to the dash piece for a soild backing to support bondo. and test fit with dash kit glued in to make sure fitment is good, i had to sand my dash kit down a bit to make enough room
