.......OUCH

Kevin Ware healed from it, but he also had more time. Looks like it's going to be a long season for the Pacers

Ya he will not be playing in the upcoming season. Was at the game when it happened and it was painful to watch. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone and hope he returns better than ever.

I also really hope this wakes the NBA up and forces them to move the base of the basket and cameramen/spectators back. This injury could have been easily avoided. With guys that are 6'8"+ flying around by the basket it doesn't take them very long to cover a large amount of distance crashing into those bases. I hope they push them back another 6 feet or more.

I have never understood why the NBA allows everyone to be so damn close to the court. I don't like the two team benches, scorer's table, or the damn expensive courtside seats being so close to the court either for that matter.

ESPN already covered this showing that the stanchions in that particular arena were not NBA regulation and were about 3 inches closer than standard NBA stanchions. That makes much more of a difference than it sounds. They do not need to push them back 6 feet and risk making the actual rim and backboard itself unstable. This was a tragic injury indeed but let's not flip shit over it. Next we'll start banning players from being in the paint when somebody goes in for a layup.

At the end of the day the NBA is just like what most things are: a business. When you advertise things like "court side" seats you'd want them to be court side right? They're trying to sell seats and exclusive seats such as these draw a more celebrity crowd. How do you think you get such awesome and clear picture from your television? Because all those cameramen are sitting along the sidelines for you.

Besides PG is doing fine. He'll be back!

Lol I know right. I still think he won't win any championships with the Cavs.

With Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving now? I'd say his chances are pretty good coming out of the East.

I'd be fine with that seeing as they're my team.
