I haven't hooked it up, but have thought about it. The Rinnai I have has an option for circulating hot water using the cold water pipes as a return. You put a cross-over at the furthest faucet out and it slowly recirculates the water as it cools down in the pipes. Again you lose some efficiency but you have instant hot water. It also has the side effect of circulating the water in all your pipes which I suspect would help freezing.

Remember Echo's words of wisdom. Be nice but do your best to not care. Think of it as you interviewing her for the job. That way, you'll come off as interested but not invested.

I have knocked around the idea of going with one of these systems when I need to change my tank next but never knew anybody with first hand experience to see how they liked it. Looks like the way to go. Forum helps with something that has nothing to do with cars again!

Well technically it uses gas (although natural or propane) and contains a radiator so its sort of related.

I wish I had natural gas. I've dreamed about installing on-demand heaters since I first saw them in Hungary in the '70s.

Now THOSE things were creepy. Staring at a pilot light kicking off the fire right at eye level under the shower head. Whoosh!

Donít think you were around when @jawn was a regular. He had a picture of the girl Boxy (a minor internet celebrity) as his avatar. He was hit on all the time. Usually by some of the creepiest member of this forum. It was hilarious.

I have spent many hours in cars with you and can confirm that you do indeed have gas on occasion.
