The biggest problems I've seen from the Zupra is the suspension, seems like they didn't quite get the springs/dampers right on the longitudinal control and the car is both boat-like in responsiveness and twitchy. Looks like a frustrating package to hustle. |

Both are part of the system and one will not work well without the other being up to par.

If the abs can be engaged consistently over the entire use period it means it's not the clampers failing you, it's the tire. |

I think the Supra looks much better in person. In photos it looks narrow to me, not sure why. In person, looks wider. Makes the whole design much better.

Captain Snooze, much like anything else, you need to read the fine print. If any vehicle is described as having a brake based electronic LSD, you can interpret that as being crap, and the cheapest possible way to control wheelspin via a differential. It's better than nothing, but not by much. Other advantage is it doesn't add any weight (since it just requires a computer and uses the existing brake hardware). This is the LSD type most base level VWs have, including the GTI (heck even my 2015 Golf wagon had it). However, the GTI I have now has an active torque vectoring LSD that can overdrive the outside wheel to rotate the vehicle into a turn. These cost a lot more, and unfortunately add weight.

Mmmm... I'm not sure McLaren would agree with you. "The new McLaren 720S Spider isn’t exactly wanting for power. Just like the coupe, its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is good for 710bhp (or 720PS, hence the car’s name). But here’s something you may not know: all of that power is sent to the rear wheels via an open differential. It’s the same case with McLaren Automotive’s entire line-up, plus all of its previous vehicles. Yep, even the mighty P1 used an open diff." https://www.carthrottle.com/post/why...t-wont-change/

#trade-off's.
for a race track, i can understand how it makes sense. but for the street, the speeds are too low to really benefit from the system the same. and i also think that a mechanical LSD is more easily used by a lesser skilled driver (like me), where a brake-based system requires a better driver technique to get a net benefit out of them.

I wouldn't want more than 250 whp out of a turbo 2litre. Reliability will suffer.
