Is our engine bay strong enough to be pushed?
Hi guys,
Been wondering if our cars’ engine bay is strong enough to be pushed down to check for suspension noises. Witnessed areas circled in attached pic pushed down (noticed flexing when pushed but did not see any deformity afterwards) when the car was being checked for suspension noise. Thanks! |

I'd push near the shock towers, or on the actual radiator support, not on the headlight supports. they look much weaker.

Saw the mechanic pushing down on headlight support and noticed the frame flexing a little. I then Inspected it after and didn’t see anything visibly bent. Not sure if there is anything to worry about? |

You're ok as long as you never let that asshole touch your car again. To rock the chassis? Everything but the strut towers and braces is off limits. Maybe the A-pillar if the window's open and it's held properly.

Glad to know it will be okay I was worried seeing the support flex like that as it was being pushed down At least they were careful not to push on plastic parts Will try to do work myself from now on |
