They all do it, ruin a perfectly good car with bloat!
I thought my 1st gen 3 door Honda Civic was a sub compact. Now the 2019 Civic is advertised as a "Mid Sized Sedan". Go figure, eh ;
And don't get me started on what Subaru did to the STi...

This is funny, because the 2019 hatchbacks are only a couple inches off of those sedans as old as 2006(maybe older).. The 2019 sedan on the other hand...

Well said. My no frills series-1 240Z is much more desirable, lighter and way more fun to drive with a higher-rev engine than the 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX.

Swapping out the L24 in my 240Z for a 3.1 liter bored/stroked L28 was one of the best things I ever did for it
Took quite a few more mods but ultimately that motor reved to 7200 rpm

That sounds awesome!
My brother has a rebello 3.0 stroker under his 240Z - it smokes!
Yup - it's all about power to weight ratio. This is my 4th 240Z. it was purchased from original owner's wife/widow. He purchased this new in Japan (sadly he ordered LH-drive from factory) and has a ton of documents in 3-ring folders x3 to include the sales person's business card and Japanese plates. So, i left this one alone.
My other 240 got the F54 flat-top, P90 head. N36 intake and brog-warner 5-speed. My brother torched that too.

I am not sure what the 2nd generation will look like or if it's still on track to happen BUT I can confirm that there will be no Toyota 86 in 2021 so if they are coming out with a new 86, there will be a year at least of nothing between them.

BUT...
BUT...
BUT...
Motor1 and the rest of the clickbaits showed a picture of a meeting which clearly showed a summer 2021 release date for the 2nd Gen 86. It was right there in grey and beige. How dare anybody dispute that.
