FS[NJ/NYC]: 949 Steering Wheel Spacer **SOLD**

**SOLD**

I have a 949 steering wheel spacer for sale $200 shipped. Had it on the car for less than a week. Has light scratches from removal.

From the 949 spacer thread.

Why I bought it...

Due to my short arms, I have to set the seat fully erect with the wheel extended to the furthest position. This is fine on the street, but when I have a helmet on, I feel like my head is hunched down and pushed forward by the headrest. I flip the headrest around when autocrossing, which effectively is not having a headrest at all. I roll dice and play the odds of snapping my neck. But at the track, where I go off course, spin, & crash on every lap, I have a higher risk and therefore leave the headrest in the normal position.

Wondering if anyone bought the extension so that they can recline the seat farther back? Logically I think this would solve my problem.
Why I got rid of it.

The spacer works as intended but doesn't fix (nor was intended to) my helmet to headrest problem. In order for the headrest to not push into my helmet, I'd have to recline the seat so much that it would feel like I'm "Rollin in my six-fo".

The spacer itself is a good product. Easy install. Fast shipping too.

I found 2016 Camry headrests give you an extra inch of room.

This sounds really interesting.. Do these headrests attach to our seats?? Got any pics of this setup? Thanks!

Here you go! Plug and play, they fit perfectly! The red stitching is ever so slightly more orange but you don’t notice it unless you shine bright light on it.
