Do u have a C30 or C38? I was told C38 requires ACE header plus high boost pulleys.

The term you’re looking for is “recommended”. Due to the higher volume and velocity of exhaust gasses exiting the cylinder heads it’s wise to equip the motor with headers, as well-engineered headers create a sort of suction effect where the exhaust gasses are pulled from the heads.
Your potentials for power gains will skyrocket with a solid aftermarket header, especially with ACE.

I have a C38, whoever told you it "requires" anything is just plain wrong. Neither the C30 or C38 require anything, they can both be run on otherwise stock systems, or with any header setup.

He's not posting the full story. What he was told, is that to use a HBP with any JRSC, with CA 91 octane, safely, without massively pulling timing, the Ace header is the only known option.

Any header is fine without HBP.

With HBP, if you want to use ACN91.... well, only one option. If you use high octane or ethanol, then any header will work.

Remember, context. On ACN91.

The setup is zero issue when you're flex fuel with significant ethanol content. As I've said in your PMs many times, I do not recommend redlining when on 91.

Because you have an automatic, you need to be especially watchful of this, because heavy throttle application can cause a potentially unwanted downshift, unless you're in manual mode.

I’m not talking about C38 with HBP, just C38 with stock pulleys and another aftermarket header other than ACE. Basically I’m asking will the following work? Or do I have to go with C30 instead for the following set up?

C38
Non-ACE header (tomei EL in my case)
Factory pulleys
91 petro
Custom tune

I would prefer C38 now even though I won’t be benefiting from its full potentials, but it’s good to know the potential is there down the road.

That will work with a C38.

That setup will be perfectly fine.

If you don't use high boost pulley or E85 and use carb tune, nothing else is necessary. If you go with delicious tune a map sensor upgrade might be required. If you add E85, injectors need to be upgraded..Talk to delicious tune for injectors and map sensor requirements. If you add HBP engine rebuild is recommended along with ACE header. Oil cooler is required for all configurations especially if you are tracking

Require:
Catch can or AOS
Engine Oil cooler if you plan on driving it hard
4 BAR MAP sensor for logging for tunes

Injectors and a Fuel pump if you ever go e85

A built shortblock if you ever go HBP

Optional but I personally recommend it, a Forge Motorsport Recirc Valve instead of the plastic Kaiser one that comes with the kit.

How safe do you guys reckon the c38 on a stock pulley and stock block with uel headers on 93 is?

Have a lot of people wrecked their rods on that setup?

I wanna do it but I might blow that money on a daily first

if you run the supplied tune with castles headers does that cause issues?
