MB CLA250 or BRZ?

I travel about 2000 miles per MONTH (edited) for an IT contract gig and I get paid .565 cents per mile. I've been doing this for about 9 months now I have a 2013 Sentra SL I leased just for this purpose. The lack of power of this Sentra drives me nuts on freeway. I also have a 2006 Cayman S which is a weekend car.
I am now comtemplating of leasing a BRZ as my travel car and let my uncle continue leasing the Sentra. My wife drives a Mazda CX9 and we have two kids who are 9 and 4.
If you were me, would you get the MB or the BRZ given my current stable and needs? Am I too selfish to have 2 sporty cars? Or just use the Cayman, or alternate the Sentra and Cayman, or alternate the MB and Cayman?

to be honest, the BRZ is not fun on the freeway. 2000 miles a week is a lot of driving, and the MB will have better seats, and interior amenities (better speakers, hvac etc.)

You already have a Cayman S, which is essentially a BRZ. And these cars are almost meant to be modded. If you are planning on just driving it stock, 2000 miles on the freeway, MB hands down.

Mercedes is a driving car.

I wouldn't want to use the BRZ as a travel car with those kind of miles, especially for hours at a time on the hwys.. I would get a more relaxed cruiser with a longer wheelbase for comfort..

As noted above, the FT86 is not that fun on the freeway compared to sharp turns and all that jazz. The only way it would be fun is to be driving at 6k+ RPM all the time, which would totally defeat the purpose of saving gas so your compensation would be greater than your consumption.

As someone that drives ~500 miles a week, mainly on the highway I have to disagree. I bought the car for this exact reason and it makes my daily driving a million times better. Anyone complaining about being slow on the highway must not grasp the concept of the downshift. This car has plenty of power for any regular driving situation. A downshift or two and this car goes from 60-100 plenty quick enough, also most cars move out of your way because they think youre moving faster then you are lol.

Cars with bucket/sport seats where you sit low are not really that comfortable for long drives. The poor lateral and rear visibility of most sport coupes and roadsters also makes long trips more stressful for me, as I continuously worry about my blind spots and whatnot.

If you already have a Cayman, it makes zero sense to get a BRZ for a DD.

I would just rent a lightweight hot hatch, along the lines of Fiesta ST, new Mazda 3, or VW Rabbit. Great MPG, cheap, practical and all under 2900 pounds.

Is the MB CLA250 your only other choice? If that is the case, then go with the CLA250.

I just test drove a CLA250 with a friend. Get that if you want to highway cruise (or a 320/328i).

The BRZ is a much better sports car obviously.

My mother just ordered a CLA 250 fully loaded after I suggested she check it out. She is 72 yrs old BTW.

Why would you bother with a BRZ if you already have a Cayman? What benefit do you think the BRZ will offer as a highway cruiser vs the Benz? You decide. I know what I'd do.

Loud pipes...

uh, something or other...

You'd bounce around a lot more on transitions between concrete highway sections in a twin.
I find it kind of soothing, but I'm weird like that.

I'm not understanding why you would lease a car too put miles on unless you intend to trade it in before your lease. Aren't you going to get hit with all that mileage?

Park the sentra for a week and take your cayman out. This will tell you if you should get a BRZ. If money is no object then get the MB.
