LF-A on Top Gear

Here is the Top Gear review of the Lexus LF-A. Richard Hammond did the review, I thought it was pretty good. The lap was incredible, but I hope they will do the lap again considering the circumstance.

I was especially surprised it was faster than the Gallardo on a wet track. Gallardo is AWD.

Ok, well, not that surprised.

I can't wait also, but I was hopping for Japanese clash of the titans Godzilla vs LF-A... V6 twin turbo vs V10... AWD vs FR.

Someone told me that best motoring international is having a special edition dvd for the LF-A like what they did on the Nissan GTR R35, hope comes out soon cant wait. hope they have the GTR spec-V vs LF-A vs Honda NSX type-R who will win the 5 raps batter (in Japanese engrish)

Yeah, iirc LF-A is pushing over 500hp, so I highly doubt it's gonna be on Super GT... but looks like they're already putting them on Nurburgring races

lol.... You didn't follow the development of this car did you?

It's won two 4hr endurance races at the ring 2008/2009. And it won it's class ant the nurburgring 24, even though it had an accident. The results this year weren't so great, but they claimed long before the 2008 race that they were there for development purposes. In fact, because of one of those races, is why it has the CF cross brace in the front.

WRT to it racing in GT500, I don't think it ever will. I'm sure it could have been de-tuned and modified if the wanted to race it, but the fact remains that they don't need to put it in GT500. It's a very limited edition car, and I believe they've already sold all of the first year run in the US. Cars are eligible to be changed every 2 years. They just changed the chassis for 2009 (Toyota/Lexus were the only ones to run with a fully compliant car for the new regulations wrt chassis & engine) When they change do change chassis again, maybe next season ('11) I expect to see the next gen SC taking over , not the LFA (you know, marketing and all).
Also, current regulations necessitate a 3.4L V8, so... yeah, that's a point of contention as well.

That was random. Nothing like reading some awesome posts then get some BS post about bolts.

I do look forward to a re-lap on the Top Gear Track, that would be hella cool.
Doesn't GT5 have their test track? That'd be cool to try some of the cars on GT5 on their track and see if the times are close.
