Edit- i see what you mean, my words were chosen poorly but were done so with sarcasm in mind. It is my opinion, but also fact. (google engine load and fuel economy in regard to r/p choices)

My opinion is based on my first hand experience and collecting data on the street, on the track and off-road. Nobody has to agree with it. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything against their own beliefs and wishes..

I edited my previous posts so nobody else gets confused..

Adiós.

Toyota 4.30 ring and pinion list price is $975 so maybe this isn't that bad of deal. My wholesale price is still $780 so that's out.

I wonder what the IS300/200 ratios were, they might swap straight in. I think the IS250 is 3.9ish which may be good for forced induction people, but those cars are quite new and not abundant in junkyards. (not saying that the earlier ISs are)

EDIT: ah, IS200 automatic, 4.300

Awesome mod.

This car should have came with 4.7 stock, i wouldn't mind a 5.0++ one either, screw top speed.

I have the oppurtunity to do so for cheap, free install, etc but it would have required me shipping my diff to a friends shop (an MFactory dealer) for the work..

Sadly for me, I refuse to let people work on my car when I'm perfectly capable of installing an FD all by myself so I decided against it. I did think about buying a cheap IS250/350 diff (whichever is the correct one) and sending that up instead but it wasn't worth the effort to me.

Is that opportunity transferrable?

Also, I am looking for one person who can do a photo write up and install thread in return for a discount. PM if you are interested.
Post this need in the regional TX forum...I am sure you can get someone quickly that way.

Cool you have the finished product now OP.

Just FYI, you didn't put in all the gear/speed info and top speed estimate info updated in the original post yet. Only the "final" final driver offerings.
