Damn, too bad I threw my last one away. Chuck was mint. I just smoked it with a 6 1/2" hole saw.

I was watching a show on Disneyland history and it reminded me of the park when I was a young kid. You know your old when you remember when the jungle cruise was serious.

My parents were kids in 1970s... So yes, I have heard of it but quite a bit before my time.

My dad drove our family from Courtice (on the north shore of Lake Ontario) to Anaheim CA in 1958. Thirty one days round trip IIRC. Spent several days at Disneyland but also did all the other hot spots like Knott's Berry Farm.

31 days, yikes.

My grandmother lived 30 minutes from Disneyland, so every time we made the 6 hour trek from San Jose, we went. That was when it didn't cost anything to get in, and you bought tickets for rides. My grandmother had a big box of Disneyland tickets and park maps and stuff from relatives visiting. She would always have dozens of ticket books with all the A and B tickets. No E tickets.

We always also hit up the berry farm. Again, I remember when the shootouts were serious.

It was time for an oil change. Lift the car, open valve, drain, close. All good. I usually drain the used oil pan into the 5QT container so that I can bring the jug to our transfer station and get rid of it.
As I’m draining the pan into the jug, I expected it to be pretty full to the point where I would’ve had some used oil left in the pan. I didn’t. I barely managed to fill the 5QT jug. In retrospect iI haven’t really kept an eye on the level these past months, and oil consumption is to be expected, I just didn’t expect the car to consume a full QT of oil in six months. Taking into consideration that probably not all of the old oil perfectly drained.
