I agree with SupraLove & robo_robb. There is no right or wrong way to heel-toe, but I strongly discourage using the right side of your foot to blip the throttle. Braking is the utmost priority when entering a corner. As others have stated, your foot can slip when just using a part of your foot on the brake and you can end up in a bad situation. So it is important to get the most footing on the brake pedal so that you can apply the proper brake pressure safely.
Here's an example of my heel-toe on my s2k (which has the same size throttle pedal & spacing from the brake). Quick heel-toe on 00:34. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndMP_Nvbikc&feature=g-upl"]NNJR PCA 8/19/12 - 60.936 - YouTube[/ame] Last edited by iLuveKetchup; 08-30-2012 at 12:06 AM. |

Easiest car to heel toe is 370z with rev matching... you dont need to heel toe!

I'm 6'2" with a size 12 foot and I find it hard to heel toe in this car. It's the action of rolling my heel horizontal to press the accelerator after I've put my toe on the brake.
If the seat was able to slide back like an extra inch or two it would be fine but at the moment it feels pretty awkward. |

Yes they are. Not sure how he trained the shoes to do that so well though.

I think it's a solid compromise. I'd rather have easier heal toeing when I need to than when it doesn't matter. |

I'm 6' 2" with a size 12 foot and I don't have any trouble. I use a different technique. I don't use my heel to blip the throttle. I roll my foot and hit it with the side of my shoe. My heel never hits the throttle pedal. I slide my seat 3 inches away from maximum extension with a very upright seat back at all times. You don't have to use your heel and you can be very consistent. Everyone is different anatomically so experiment and find a way that works for you. |
