As long as your not chasing numbers or worried about MPG, the Renesis does capture the N/A rotary spirit. With the popularity [que the Tokyo Drift music] of these cars gone and the prices at rock bottom, it would be a great time to try to find a clean 2009-2012 car and hold on. Finding a good, low mileage example could be quite a challenge though as if they don't have a blown engine, they are likely clapped out... many 8's also have succumb to rust. I'm not sure if it was just Mazda's QC at the time or that many people daily drove them but, every one that I've had on a lift has had a lot of surface rust. I will note, that the car by nature is very similar to the twins. It might not be the best to have 2 cars similar in aspect. I do however quite enjoy the RX-Vision kit for the Series 2 RX-8. It really adds the modern Mazda car design aesthetic to the front of the car. (Skip the full widebody version though.) https://www.nengun.com/leg-sport/clu...vision-hv-rx-8 If I bought one I'd have to try for a repaint in Mazda's Soul Red tri-coat. Mazda's newer 46V Soul Red, (the 2019+ darker, deeper paint code, not the lighter 41V.) Would be quite a nice sight to see.

Yup! Luckily I'm on the other side of the fence this time and get to lead those little runts on Sand Hill.

it wasn't really a great 4-seater, but with the 3 doors and overall proportions, kept trying to be a family sedan. it wasn't upmarket, but tried to be with the options like leather and in-depth bose stereo. and it still had the quirks of a rotary motor, which are fine for people that knew what they were getting, but can't compare to the reliability and simplicity of a standard 4-cycle, especially when the car appeared to move upmarket, where people just 'use' more and 'tune' less. oh, and TRIANGLES EVERYWHERE

Aesthetically, it just didn't do it for me. It was just another car built for average sized people so I never considered owning one.

Never liked the RX8. Known a couple guys with them
Back in the 80's I remember some really nice setup RX7s in the SCCA. |

I spoke to Myles on the phone for a good amount of time and he was just great. Simply put, I need to really learn and understand how the stock suspension works before I start looking at what areas need to be improved. Which begs the need of getting some Auto-X, Track events under my belt. He could've easily made a sale for $2K+ considering the final cost of all needed components when going for the SS1\ Tarmac Zeros, but instead gave me something more valuable, mentoring. He found a set of semi-used springs and will be sending them to me shortly. That way @NoHaveMSG stops making fun of my wheel gap. I'll be getting used to those and then I'll see if I get the shocks too to complete the look. It might a little before I install the springs because it is cold AF to be working on the car.

That should be a good step, in the future you could also just go with B6/B8's with the yellows too. That combo works pretty well. My only compliant with that setup is you need to pay attention to your wheel offsets and tire sizes or it could rub the spring perch. It's nice to deal with a vender who will sell you what you need and not try to upsell you into the latest greatest thing for no reason.

I don't think it'll be long until I upgrade to the Bilsteins to complete the look. I think Im running a sightly wider tire. I switched to Michellin PS AS 4

I guess all the things I own do add up while at the same time being stupid cheap. I also totally forgot about the futon I was given by a friend as it kind of became common property. So now I gotta figure out what to do with that. Regardless, I discovered these things called "Pods" for moving. While preposterously expensive, I did see U-Haul has their version called a U-box. So I think that is the answer for the move!

there's always the local thrift store! either for stuff, or to get rid of stuff.
i've never spent more than $50 on a kitchen table. i've had 4 , just keep finding one that's a little nicer than the last one, 2 of them came complete with an extra leaf and 4-6 chairs...

It would seem that instead of creating new accounts, bots are taking older inactive accounts to spam with. I have seen(and reported) 2 so far.
