YEAH! I saw a newfie once when I was driving in a neighborhood and it freaked me out because I thought it was a bear! Those dogs are tons of fun, they just slobber waaaay to much for me.

Edit: I should add I don't think I've ever seen a bear other than at a distance in the zoo... and I suppose I wouldn't want to see a bear up close.

Yea, its MomHawk's doing. It's a rubber bone with a hole in it that a roll of bags go into and attached to the leash. Actually kind of handy. You can find them on Amazon [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Q3MG1U/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00"]here[/ame] in various colors.

She's about the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. The females don't slobber like the males, but she does shed about a poodle's worth of hair in a week. You gotta not mind dog hair and vacuuming.

True story. When we first got her (she was already 2 years old and about 120lbs) I was walking her near the tennis courts in our subdivision. I heard the following conversation:

8 year old son: "Dad, that guy has a bear!"
Dad: "No son, its probably just a big dog".
Son: "Dad, I'm sure its a bear!"
Dad: "Son, it can't be a bear, the homeowner's association wouldn't let him keep a bear at his house!"

Yea, that's all that's keeping from having a bear, the HOA!
