Hey don't forget you went 2-0 with me briefly. Then I went 2-3 with Lee and Jason...so yeah I agree that you need to find the right team. Still got my 5 wins at least!

One thing I noticed, especially on Reddit is that many people went 9-0 on the first and second day, when I'm sure the scrubs were testing out their first passage and getting worked by merely competent teams. I'm definitely only "competent" at crucible but half the people I played yesterday already had the exotic emblem from going 9-0 and were still playing, crucible junkies for sure. The scrubs from friday/saturday had long given up.

Any thoughts/opinions on the new "cheese" going around lately for Trials of Osiris? In case you aren't aware of what I'm talking about here is a link for reference:

http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGa...ials_cheating/

In my opinion this is not cheating. Online gamers have been noob stomping for ages. It might not be something I would do myself or agree with, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily cheating. They're just attempting to find a matchup in which they know they will win for sure. Even then, you can't judge a person's skill based solely on level and grimoire score. The opposing team gets a win and shouldn't complain. Also, you have to have your own fire team assembled for Trials so if you're not okay with it simply boot the person from your team. I'd like to know what you all think about this.

TL;DR You can inspect your opposing team in orbit right before your match starts. Don't like what you see you can force quit/disconnect and when you load Destiny again it won't count as a loss on your record.

I don't think it's cheating.
I think it's a waste of time and stupid since I usually go in with gear I don't plan on using anyway.
The gear also doesn't necessarily tell you how good they are.

My thoughts exactly. I don't understand the strategy one bit, but it doesn't bother me. The fact that players think they can judge your skill simply by inspecting you is probably why they will lose in Trials to begin with.

I agree, I really don't see it is as cheating but it does say something about your character. If you're that scared to face a potentially competent opponent and you quit prior to the match, well then I guess you're really not that good.

I know I'm not really that good of a PvP player, but I try. I actually ran some Crucible this weekend and did pretty good and I wasn't even using my preferred load out.

On another note, f0rge and I tried lvl32 PoE on Saturday with Cygnes and man the second round with the Cabal seemed impossible. We finally had to call it quits. Not sure if it was the modifier or what, but we were getting whacked. We also ran the Taniks strike and the Captains shields were ridiculous. I'm starting to wonder if Bungie inadvertently bugged the game with the new DLC? I noticed a lot of lag/glitching in the game this weekend too.

In any other competition if you don't show up to the match you were set to play because you're not sure you can win, you automatically take the loss. Same should go here. These people are circumventing the system so they can avoid the loss. Circumventing a system put in place to gain an unfair advantage is generally pretty well known as cheating. I lost so many matches last night it was ridiculous, but not once did I bomb out. It might be stupid to run into a match that looks like certain death, but I'm not a fucking coward.

It's cheating if you ask me, they're essentially hand picking their opponents in hopes of finding the weaker ones.

Would be pretty easy to do.

Full team of 34s? Skip.
Exotic emblems? Skip.
3 Thorns? Skip.
Adept ToO weapon? Skip.
3 guys in the same clan? Skip.
A 31 and two 33s? Play.

While it would take a lot of work, if you sucked at the crucible (like me) it would be A LOT easier. I got rocked hard in the last Trials.

Good point, I guess the fix for this is that Bungie will need to remove your ability to see your opponent until the match has already started. If you then quit, it should count as a loss. I saw an article today (haven't read it yet though) that said Bungie was getting ready to drop the ban hammer on a bunch of people who they know cheated during the ToO.

From my own observations, I think there's a lot of cheating going on in the Crucible. Too many times have I see people who constantly get their supers, or you can't freaking kill them and then they double tap you into oblivion. I know some of it can be explained as legitimate lag issues but I think this a problem that is really plaguing Destiny for some reason. Or maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better. lol

Saw a lot of people having problems beating the 34 PoE boss. Just did it with 3 gjallarhorns and a bubble Titan. Took like a minute lol.

Well, it's freaking annoying for sure. I never drop out of a Crucible event, but there's been a few times where I could tell something fishy was going on. I can't remember if it was with you, but I ran skirmish with Lee and that one team of three kept killing us just about every time we spawned. Spawn, wham! Spawn again, wham! They were everywhere at one time. Didn't seem possible.

I'm also pretty sure that House of Wolves brought out a resurgence of douchebags too. I've probably played around 900 various crucible matches, and for the most part I generally don't see very much bad sportsmanship, teabagging, or people being smug assholes. But in the past weekend I saw more teabags being dropped than the onlookers in 1773.

Teabagging and FPS go hand in hand to me now. Especially with any Bungie/343 game. I've just learned to expect it. Besides it just looks worse when they lose to your team.

Defender Titans with Helm of St.-14 are the new Gjallahorn. I feel like every PoE I've run goes so much smoother with a bubble available.

BTW, did anyone notice that the Daily Heroic Story now gives you 20 Vanguard marks?! Considering the most marks you get from doing Vanguard strikes is 6, that's pretty amazing to me. Talk about a fast way to build marks if need to do so. Unless it was always like that? I really can't remember since I haven't done a daily story in months.
