I wish my company had been that generous.
First, they found a loophole and denied my claim. They also cancelled my policy and threatened to charge me with fraud. (Their claim was that I misrepresented my property as it was in the country and not within 500 meters of a fire hydrant.) I had to hire a lawyer who showed them that they had paid out on two earlier claims plus, my house backs onto a RIVER! How much more water did they think a fire company would need? Oh, and I've never made a fire claim.
They paid out the lowest amount they legally had to, $2,000 but, they did cover the damage repairs.
However, I was forced to stay with them for five years (with jacked up rates) as no other insurance company would touch me until I was five years claim free. What a Fawkin' scam!!!

I have heard that from a few people who had State Farm. Rates good, claims bad, then drop you if you have a moderate size claim.
