That’s not based on current standards. By late 90’s standards, the Spark would have similar range. I posted the wiki screen capture which shows both standards and ranges, so I don’t really understand why you missed that. It kinda goes back to what I said earlier about willful blindness.

You just posted the EV1. You didn’t compare it to the Spark. The Spark EV has a 19.44 kW, which is 36% smaller than the EV1’s battery. That would effect range a lot.

Outside of a motor efficiency difference and minor efficiency differences in battery efficiency, the biggest difference in range will come from other factors like the size/weight of the battery, weight of the car, etc. The kW numbers you quoted does not tell us anything about what battery innovations and developments made by GM.

This sounds like something a Chinese leader would say.
Sounds like you might be one of these anti-vaxer, anarchist types if you don’t understand the need for laws and regulations. You must also think that catalytic converters, littering or speed limits are draconian. People shouldn’t be forced to do anything against their will...yeah, because people never do anything against their interests or the interests of society or the planet.

So I sat down and for hours combed through all the research and the data on climate change, electrical grids, technological innovation and government policies both now and decades from now and the only solution that is viable - nothing else will work well enough, at scale enough or soon enough - the only solution that is viable is....

50% of us have got to go. Significant population reduction pretty much solves everything.

Thanos was right.

Doesn't really solve anything in the long term. Like every species we have a penchant for breeding. Just moves it down the road.

I'm ready.

Musk says another 3 seconds are still on the table once development is complete. Allegedly this is a full interior car with just a race seat. It's not ready for sale, but it is what they want to deliver.

Easy. Mandate Cushman scooters (because American made) worldwide, helmets optional, standard equipped with bar mounted cellphone holder and vape pen charger. Shouldn't take long.

Probably should have used the /s tag on my Thanos post.

Joking aside, eliminating 50% of the existing population is definitely not the answer. Would instead work much better the death rate exceeded the birth rate for a couple decades instead.

If they find a way to put alcoholism into an aerosol can they could eliminate half the population in 2 years. It would look like bird box

I think we should just go back to people eating tide pods. Cheap and effective.

Those were simpler times.

And probably not necessary with proper family planning and developing countries. Many countries are in population decline. Hans does a great TED Talk on it. Most of our population growth will come from the poorest countries like in Africa.
