NICE find!
I've attached the current versions of the "Specifications" and "At a glance" PDFs from the right section of that page.

In case anyone was still unsure, the 12.5:1 compression rate is now official.

"4-wheel disc with Electric vacuum pump power assist"
Is this different from what it was before?

"New for 2022, the standard Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) now allows two sets of
wheels to be ID registered. This allows the owner to switch to seasonal tires without the need of
changing the tires on the original wheels."

Seasonal tires, of course.

I think OG AT BRZ has an electric vacuum pump but the MT should be just using intake vacuum. Not quite sure about the benefit for switching to a electric model? More stable brake pressure when doing heel toe?

and yet it is already 20kg heavier than 2012 (i couldnt help myself, had to compare the 2012 and 2022 specs line by line muahahah). which means the extra 75kg that they gained due to crash regs etc which are "almost negated by the alu roof and fenders" is really only offset by say 45kg.

other comparisons:
1. same MT gear ratios
2. same brake rotor diameters! so that means AP Essex Sprint again!
3. slightly steering angle ? (f you multiply the steering lock with the rack ratio and compare, new lock > old lock ie. 13.5 x 2.5 > 13.12 x 2.48). i probably reading too much into it here haha.
4. slightly narrower front track? new vs old = 1519mm vs 1520mm. doesnt matter cos et42 is going onto mine muahaha.
5. wider rear track. new vs old = 1549mm vs 1540mm. same et42 going on muahahaha.

Honestly gaining 75kg due to crash structure and shaving that back down to 20kg is impressive. I don't think many of us will notice a 20kg increase.

If people can notice the torque dip in every speed condition, the 5hp increase, and any other butt dyno statistics, then they will notice 20kg difference EASY!!1

If that's the case, then that partly explains the weight loss.

From https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7881
OEM spare tire with liner foam= 25.8 lbs.
OEM trunk tools, jack, tow hook= 5.8 lbs.

That is 31.6 lbs alone.

Yea the tire repair kit is way lighter. Looks like they’ve pulled out all the stops to keep it light.

That said, I can’t think of a single car that came out in the last 10 years that I know comes with a spare. The inflator kit is standard now, if you even get anything at all besides runflats.

Hope they have an accessory subwoofer again! I love my Subaru Accessory 10" Kicker.

Also kinda miffed about the lack of the spare tire. I'd rather have a slightly heavier car and remove the spare at the track . I know barely anyone has to use their spare, however, when you loose a tire 100+ miles away from home and the tow bill is $100+ you'll be wishing you had that spare.

surprised they didnt increase the cargo space with the removal of the spare tire.

Typical of manufacturers though, they just fill the spare tire well with a foam block with tools and a fix-a-flat kit.
