I did the Whiteline camber bolts on my first gen, it does make a difference. The car turns into the corner better.

I had the Subaru bolts on my 13, front end bite was notably better, and the bolts were literally 5 bucks each

Just ordered mine. $5 a piece. if I can get ~ -1 degree i'll be happy.

Hey guys, how much does camber affect tire wear for daily driving? Also does anyone know the stock factory alignment numbers?

I want to add some camber to the front and maybe a hint of toe in the rear to eliminate understeer, but my wallet is still traumatized from tire purchases for my Miata on a track alignment.

Most folks agree that around -2 degrees is fine for the street, some even say -2.5 or even -3. Camber bolts top and bottom will give you about -2 degrees, so that should be okay for DD.

The important thing here is toe. This is what will wear out your inner edges. Set toe to 0 and you can run -2 to -2.5 degrees up front with minimal effect on the inner tier wear especially if you balance this out with spirited/autox/track driving leaning on the outer edges of the tire.

For street driving with the ~-1.5 we have in the front it feels very well balanced. A bit of trail braking and corner entry is very good.

I got about -1.1 with just the upper crash bolt (and RCE Yellows). I've been thinking about what to do to get up to about -2. Would you guys say the Pedders mounts or the Whiteline camber bolt are the better move?

I'm on stock sized tires and using camber bolts top and bottom, got me -2.1 degrees.
If you're on stock sized wheels and tires, I'd say camber bolts are cheaper and supposedly give a better camber geometry (with regard to camber interaction with caster when turning).
If you're running wider wheels/tires you might rub the spring perch with extra hub camber, so you'd need to use the Pedders.

Pedders are a good solution.
SPC lower, crash bolt upper is good for -2° to -2.3°. That's currently how I am setup.
I have had two alignments done at different shops and the camber read 2.1 and 2.3 without changes.

Good call, I hadn't considered top vs bottom geometry. I'm on stock wheels with 225 rubber at the moment, but the widest I can see myself going is an 8in rim with 245 tires. Still, that's a ways off, so I might just get some camber bolts anyway since they're cheap.

For what it's worth, I was running the SPC cam bolts in the lower hole and Pedders top hats. I got -2.2 up front before I started rubbing tire (235/45/17). With spacers I could've seen over -2.5.

I liked the extra caster too from the Pedders.

You wont have an issue with even your future possible setup on the prior gen twins with both camber and crash bolts
