$1,100?!? So much for the detractors' cheap gimmick comments!

I've got a standard 2013 FRS and that connector is present, also not plugged into anything. No idea what it is for.

At least that eliminates it from being el dash related, thank you.

I wonder if there are part numbers for the EL panel and light up badges?

P.S. funny, when I think disposable cars makers I think Mitsubishi, Hyundai and especially KIA.
I've checked all the fuses (including the ones behind the radio) and they're fine. The only thing I haven't wiggled and messed with is the controller itself, which necessitates removing the shifter boot and console, which I don't have time or inclination to do. But, just like everyone else, I think it's a cheesy feature, but I paid for it to be there and it should work. There was a piece of paper stuck in the back of the owner's manual that has a wiring diagram for this panel. It has the part number for the controller. I may order one, and one boring day replace it myself, since the dealer has proven to be totally ignorant and useless. If that works, I'll let you know. Maybe I could get a quantity discount on the things, and divvy them out here... there certainly seems to be a market for them!

My controller wasn't taped down as intended, and it was connected. Disconnected/reconnected to check, still no go. It really seems like the only possible issue. Only other thing I can't find out is someone mentioned a procedure to sync the el dash to come on with the door, but the emblems and interior light do work as they should. I'm interested in a possible group buy, otherwise please keep us posted on the dealer.

#1290 Oakland/Irvine CA

Got it in MAR 2014. So far my mods are a Greddy CAI, DC headers EL, DC overpipe, SRS exhaust, lowered on TRD springs & stock shocks, TRD quick shifter, MTEC clutch spring and shift spring, Stock rims wrapped in Falken FK-453 tires (225/45/17) all around, Beatsonic shark fin, and back up camera.

Mine did come with the fog lights. Manual. Got most of my work done at AVN motorsports in Alameda,CA and Autotuned in LA.

Nice selection of mods, all go while keeping stock appearance.

Yours must have been one of the first sold or you work at TMS and pulled strings? I didn't think they were released until June but maybe some got out with the first Monroney label that created an administrative stop sale for almost eight weeks until they printed corrected labels for cars stuck at the POE's.

Thanks! That what I was going for. That stock look but have the performance to go with it. I'm sorry, that was a typo. Thanks for pointing that out. It was March 2014..

Sorry to hear you're unloading it -the car can't seem to find a permanent home (for a car that's less than two years old it's going on its third owner).

Any bites yet?

Howdy strangers! I got my 10 series a little less than a month ago. #2461. As a former owner of 4 ae86s, I must say this car really brings out what the ae86 was all about.
