Borla due to price and availability used. They can be had for relatively cheap, sound great, and perform well. People say they have issues with the version 1 cracking due to not having flex joints but mine has been holding up perfectly. If money weren't and issue I'd either pick up the Ptuning header or PPE.

Buys release series, puts cheapass parts on. Why???

Go JDL or Ptuning's header. Both are great quality.

In his defense this is a relatively cheap car...and the gains on an NA car are marginal any way. The two or three hp difference between brands isn't a game changer by any means.

Tomei because JDM power yo!

Back on topic, if you don't mind buying a used header, you can score a nice one cheap. Just keep a lookout in the Member For Sale section.

I'll put my JDL up against a crappy Borla header any day. There's a reason why people running that header can get above 200 WHP on 93 octane and people with a Borla can't. That's not 2-3 horsepower. Maybe if Borla learned a thing or two about proper collectors and not focus on mass production and profit, their product wouldn't suck.

I'll just leave this here for you http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60586
I'm not saying one is not better than the other, just that the money in MY OPINION is not worth it

"All cars were 6MT, 92 Octane and most had exhaust systems, sans the vehicle with the JDL UEL which only had a stock exhaust system and an AVO Panel Filter (Dry).."

Pick a better dyno.... There's plenty of them.

I don't recall these brands being cheap. I am aware of the borla having crack issues but only a few have reported that. I think tomei, mxp, and openflash is decent quality for this car. JDL or Ptuning is nice but I'm not sure if the money is worth it. It's your opinion and I thank you for it.
