just get one of the many options designed for the A90. some of them are pretty universal vs the ones that are clearly bespoke.

It had the same noise in the GT86. It was quite annoying.

The wind hitting the upper harness in the 1st Gen cars was noisy and mildly annoying but not really buffeting.
My wife's Outback was totally undrivable due to buffeting when at speed with both windows open. It would pressurize the whole car with a sort of pulse enough to make your ears pop and hurt.
We corrected it with the window deflectors which helped quite a bit.

Don't know if the 1st gen ones would fit on the GR or if they make new ones yet but it does reduce buffeting a lot on the Outback and would think it would do the same on the 86.

I picked some up today. Does keep the wind off of your head up to at least 80. Biggest thing I noticed was reduction of wind noise with the windows up.

Huh. Interesting. Verus' website says, "Note: A slight increase in wind noise with the windows up may be noticed after installation." I'm interested to learn if others share your experience with the windows up. That would be a nice unexpected secondary benefit.

I do now notice wind noise from the deflectors. With the roads I drive, I feel that the overall wind noise is now far less than the road noise.

So the important question:

Now that you have experience with them would you buy them again? Or recommend to others?

In general, I think I would yes. Let's see if anyone else like jdmblood notices the same thing.

I went to the track last weekend and with a helmet on I thought it was fine. Though I agree it's no good for summertime cruising

Wind buffeting is gone on the highway.

Will report back after a track day to see if there is any at higher speeds.

Ordered the Verus pieces and will give them a shot.

The buffeting has been annoying at the track - so hopefully this will improve it some.

Installed the Verus pieces today. Pretty CF and a perfect fit for the space. They even cut the 2 sided tape to match the indent on their pieces. Well pieced together. Will see how they work early October.
