Fixing Red stitching?
Hey guys, so one of the red stitched threads on the seat of my frs ripped and I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this in any way or stop it from coming loose over time.i searched over the Internet but I couldn't find anything helpful. I think it came from the button on my jeans falling off and the metal behind was sharp and grabbed the stitching.

I can't imagine any way of repairing it without having an upholstery shop see what they could do. It would be pretty hard to repair ripped thread.

^ Yeah. I think you might as well wait until the damage gets really bad, and then get new seats. lol

I think there was someone here that posted the same problem and made a thread about it... I believe he/she tried to claim it under warranty... I'll see if I can find you that thread. (No pun intended)

Ill see what warranty does, then an upholstery shop, if nothing, then probably superglue the 2 threads together and cut the excess off

take a lighter to singe off the part that spilt to prevent it all from all coming apart. then take a curved needle with red thread and go over that section plus a couple inches on each side to blend it back in.
that or pay an uphostler 50 bucks to do the same thing. Either way, good luck getting it repaired. and post pics.

![]() Cheers! :happy0180: Tip: Just tell the dealership that the threading snapped as you got into the vehicle normally... Don't say anything or make any excuses that gives them a reason or ideas to void that as warranty.
