Yes! The FRS system was top of the line audiophile level equipment compared to the 2020. They bypassed the amp for the door woofers and passed it all through the dash speaker channel so the result is like an iPhone One put in a coffee can and cranked up.

Mines chirps so loud.. I heard E85 kills the crickets.. so did it.. Alas, they are not dead.

That said my 16 hasn't chirped in a dogs age. The gas station 'round the corner from work seems to be good. If I put a few tanks of ESSO/MacEwans in it sounds like an open mic night still, though.

I can't argue with that. However, sometimes, being hard of hearing comes in handy - helps drown out the sounds of three screaming granddaughters and when mrs humfrz is lecturing me about something.

Glad to hear that. I was beginning to think I was the only one. I also have a 2013 FR-S and I have never heard the crickets. I think it may be because I only buy cheap gas. It's always 93 octane but it's the cheapest gas that day. Lately I've been using BJ's gas exclusively.

Was chirping, then the TBS was done and no chirps have revisited so far. Only ever use Chevron 93 so intend to keep doing that.

I found in my car that our winter blend fuel all but silences the fuel pump. Also, if I run a non-ethanol blend, it goes silent as well. Odd, since I think in the winter here, they INCREASE the ethanol level

Never had T-SB done and I haven't noticed chirping on my 16 in a long time...But I might just be distracted by the squeaking clutch
