cup holders appreciation

Just wanted to get this out there.

So we have the removable/adjustable cup holders in the first gen, and it seems like a fixed unit in the second gen with the console cover.

All's i gotta say is the removable cup holder has been a godsend for me.
Sometimes im off to pick up some fast food for the missus and i, and then i go to the drive through, pick up food and two drinks, then come home.

You know sometimes when they would give you that flimsy cardboard drink tray if you had more than one drink?

for the times when they dont give you that tray (which is most of the time), I just detach the 86 cupholders and bring the drinks inside with the tray

Beats trying to carry 2 drinks and a bag of food without a tray

Not to mention that when I get my weekly leaky Tim Hortons cup I can just pull the holder out, take it in the house and wash it. Hard to do with a fixed holder.

Now I feel dumb... I've always just thought it was a convenience feature to easily clean the area if you spill it. Gotta start using it as a tray now.
