Like I said in the other thread, they will fix the front and add turn signals and fog lights and all the other creases like the other Nissan concepts eveolved to the production car, and I bet it will be pretty sweet looking. I’m more into the Z than the Supra. I owned two MKiV Supras and had five vehicles with a straight six, so I have a soft spot for that. Nevertheless, the looks, likely price and manual transmission would be enough for me.
in the debut video the speaker said "the Z proto you see here is not a concept, the look of this is close to final".

i think the only thing it's missing for the US market are side markets.

Fog lights and turn signals? I bet there will be more openings below the headlights for lights and brake ducts, cooling, looks.

At first i thought it looks good, less frumpy than the current one and more svelte.

I do not like the front. I can see its a throwback but that rectangle grille doesnt seem to match the rest of the car. And i keep thinking its like C-3PO's face or a robot character from futurama.....

Then i also saw other pics and maybe its the angles but it looked frumpy again like the current Z....so im not sure.
Interior looks less sporty than it seems, and somewhat familiar....i feel like ive seen the design before.....

Overall...i dont know if i like it or not....i think im leaning towards like though.

"but it might start around $40,000"

I see this a lot in news articles. By saying "might" they are also saying "it might not".
Researchers might find a cure. Or they might not.
The war might end soon. Or it might continue.
The new video card might be under $500. Or it might be over $500.
Saying something without meaning anything.

you already listed those. poor wording on my part.

there isn't a whole lot differences when comparing past examples.

2005 GTR proto vs R35

2001 Z concept vs Z34

It is just speculation. I speculate mid 30’s.

Realistically, the front bumper was boxy on the 350z concept and softened, so I could imagine them modifying things. Something like that is all it takes.

I also think there will be tons of aftermarket front bumpers to pick from.

Yes, the Supra's front bumper is more of a deal breaker for me than the Z would be.

It is a mishmash of design elements from every generation of the Z car. That sounds like a bad idea but somehow it works. I like it from every angle except head on. The car looks too square from that perspective. Love the profile. Ok with the rear (it will look better with a lip).

I can do without the yellow pearl paint and the 19 inch wheels but those are probably just for the prototype anyway. Give me Arctic White with 17 or 18 inch wheels and I could be very happy living with it in my garage.

Unfortunately, I do not see myself spending $40K on a car during the rest of my life so I will just have to be satisfied with admiring them from afar. If this thing has decent performance to go with the looks then my faith in Nissan will be restored!
