I'll be out there in the solo group. Come drive!

Yes, you can only participate in 86s cup if you are in Point-by or Open. Given with only 1 track day in the past, you can run with Solo group. Solo Y is still open so register quick. There are some 86s running in Solo at Lagua Seca. Solo Y and G are no difference.

You can still rent the transponder to record your time if possible.

As for NCRC running group, you are automatically in Solo if you have at least one track day. You can pass only on straight (they will have driver meeting and go over those things with you). Once in solo, moving up will be depending on your personal progress. In order to move up, you can request NCRC instructor to sit with you in the group you wish to move up. If he thinks you are ready, he will move you up.

So come out and join us!
Thanks much! Super helpful clarifying the process and terminology. I'll be riding solo.

You guys are doing something right to attract this much attention to it.
Do you think NCRC will let us do something like this during lunch or downtime?

Would be great to get something like this during either parade lap, or park on the front straight for 5 minutes. If timed right, we can do this in less than 10 minutes.

Definitely will ask. Did you guys just park or did a parade lap in this fashion?

We parked, did it really quick for about 10 minutes.

As long as the proper person(s) are coordinating this, we should be able to finish this fast.

And the answer is YES! Looks like we have a 10-15min during lunch.

I also mentioned any other FR-S/BRZ can be invited, not necessarily just the 86Cup. Is that ok with everyone?

Corkscrew pic or some other part of the track?

wow!! Front straight would probably be easiest/quickest.. that way we won't have to go all the way around the track.

If they can let us get on the track without helmets, here's what I envision (for safety/insurance's sake):

Without helmet:
Stage in hot pit, pull out and make U-turn onto front straight, park, take pics, go back into cars and make U-turn onto hot pit exit. This is what we did at ACS and this can be open to anyone who shows up for the event, spectators included.

With helmet:
10-15 minutes, we can have everyone drive 2-wide on either edge of track, and do a fast photo op at Corkscrew without anyone getting out of car. This would be done essentially as a one-off parade lap to save time.

Let's talk about this before the event. As long as NCRC is open to letting this happen we will work with them to make it a safe and fun opportunity.

I'll see what I can do on the NCRC side of things this weekend.

I am not signed up for the event, but am willing to head out there for a pic like that. Especially if the weather holds up.
