Total BS too. But it explains why we have so many issues in code everywhere. Lack of experience is a hidden cost.
I fully expect to have no social security and much higher cost of living than forecasted. Gonna be fun.

Counterpoint,

I have found issues with code to usually be caused by overconfidence, under-testing, and a disregard for properly documenting dependencies. The difference in experience level is usually in the volume of poor code that gets put out because experienced coders can write it quicker and spend less time on due process.

DELTACRON. Combination of Delta and Omicron.

I’m pretty sure they’re just taking names from Transformers at this point. 11/10 hyped for the Megatron variant this summer.

I don't think that's the official scientific variant name, but it's catchy so that's what is showing up on the internet. It could also be a lab error.

If it is an actual variant, it wouldn't be a combination, viruses reproduce asexually. More like something with similar mutations as both, possibly stemming from one or the other.

On a serious note, is it really surprising that two variants would combine to make a 'super' variant? I mean, it's the sequel villain I'd have after the first 2 films. I mean versions. Still, I'm curious to see how this will play out. Since the Delta is considered more serious and the Omicron more transmissible. So to have both traits makes it quite dangerous. I'm not virologist, but my guess is people will blame the CDC, liberals, Fauci, and whoever else and say it's fear mongering or fake.

Correction: Apparently recombination is actually a thing, and has been a concern with covid for a while.
