They are. They're 19" wheels with 224/40/19 tires all around.

I wish it was a staggered set-up with 18 or 17 inches - 225/40 & 245/40. A little more grip in the back wouldn't hurt.

Entry level cars priced at 20k shouldn't have 18s, though I bet it'll be an option.

I'm going for the smallest diameter wheels/tires possible from the factory. Less rotational weight = better performance everywhere. It's not like I plan on keeping the stock ones one, anyway.

What are you planning to put on? Volks?

I can't think that far ahead!

Ask me in a few years when I see what's available on the market. But I doubt I'll get Volks. They're horrendously overpriced. I tend to like Work, Enkei, and 5Zigen rims, however.

I was thinking volks since they tend to be very light wheels. I guess work wheels are light too.

Volk TEs and LEs are light, yes. But a lot of their other models aren't that light. Works tend not to be that light, either, but they're not pig heavy, and they're great rims.
Enkeis are as light or lighter than the lightest Volks, that's why I like 'em.

All of their forge models are actually pretty light with respect to their size and strong too. I am going to look at something similar to volks or maybe prodrive wheels if the car indeed comes in 17's. I guess I'll take a look at Enkeis.

Even 18's would be huge compared to the Miata's 10lb 14" wheels... Can't beat those for weight and weight distribution, but the tire selection sucks. Hopefully they don't go overboard and instead stick with a popular size that has a lot of competition in the tire market.

N.A.

I hope they put 17" stockers on this car. Huge new cars like the Camaro that come with 20-20" factory wheels are ridiculous. I realize they do it so it looks good (cause that car is BIG), but if car manufacturers would just build smaller cars, they could keep the wheels a reasonable size. That's really one of the reasons I love this concept (and S2K).

I love the similarities with the S2000 and the Ft-86. This should be fun.
