Which Space Saver will fit?

Does anyone know which space saver tyre will fit a 86 GTS. I understand WRX MY10 (onwards) will but what about other cars?

yes but that is a 10 year old tyre... not going to be too good.. just pay the extra 20 and have a new 2013

I will be putting them on ebay soon and I suspect they will walk off.... I am sure you cant buy a mag for that ... ($250) and you get a tyre that matches ... a matter for your consideration .. I would not rely on a ten year old tyre that is limited to 80kph anyway ...

You dont have a flat boot if you put in a full size spare... That's the whole reason for going space saver over a full size wheel

Ideally I'd like to just get a skinnier wheel/tyre, if thats possible?

One that will keep the same rolling diameter so it can fit the rear as well as the front.

If not available, a space saver will have to do and I'll get this from the states.

Have you had a look at the slight dip in an 86 boot ... I defy any metal or ally space saver to give you a flat boot unless you pack up the surrounds... it's only 75mm deep

Space saver fits under the flat boot in the september onwards 86's, just like it does in overseas markets.

US market cars come with 135/80 16 inch 5x100 space saver
The rolling diameter is almost identical to 135/70 17 inch, which would be appropriate if you are upgrading the brakes
I am trying to import a US spare but may end up getting a second hand Subaru spare

Any idea of how much these are in the states?

I contacted Scion in the US & they would not sell the FRS spare overseas
I gave up trying to get one from the US
Instead I bought a 135/70 17 inch 5x100 spare from Cardiff Automotive in Newcastle
As above, it has the same rolling diameter as the FRS OEM spare
I was also given a Subaru OEM plate/bolt to hold down the spare
All up cost was $150 after bargaining
They have 3 left if you're interested
I'll post pics in the next few days
