IT'S TOO DAMN BIG!! I enjoy Android handsets, but I just can't get over how big they are... A 3.5" screen is awesome in my eyes! Even 4" is pushing it for me, so when you show me a 4.7" screen, I can't imagine what massive hands it was made for...


The iPhone 4 hit it on the head for me. 3.5" lets me reach all the real-estate with my thumb and 326ppi gives me the resolution a videophile like me wants.


Also, I prefer the simple look of iOS over Android. Although, I am a power user, and Android comes with plenty of advanced capability out of the box, but jailbreaking for me really evens the playing field while still retaining the 'walled garden' ease of use in the more mundane operation.


But I am on TMo because I am on an old plan that my parents pay for that I have been on for a looong time... It's cheap! And cheap is good for my parents!

I miss that. My 4G with Verizon rocks though! And all your points on Android vs. iOS were on point.

Thanks! There's too many fanboys on either side that don't really want to see the advantages of the other, but you have to realize that they both end up serving the same purpose and the competition between the two only breeds more innovation for both sides, which is good for everyone!


And mooching off my parents is awesome too!!!

Thanks. I haven't heard anything yet and the +40% will take a few years plus school/certification to get to, but I'm pretty well maxed where I am. So fingers are crossed.

(Hopefully I will end up with weekend access to the facilities for 'side projects', too... )

I don't think Apple really needed to sue them on EVERY continent. I can't understand being a technopile and Apple consumer AND supporting them in their lawsuits.

You too! I watched girls gymnastics <10 minutes, then I gave up on it. Swimming at least, was more college age contestants and the suits don't bother me in the least since they are designed to be hydrodynamic. It's like watching a bunch of seals compete in the olympics.

Lol I get you Guff. Honestly, it isn't all that too big once you get acustomed to it. My current phone is the BEST bang for the buck I have ever gotten. One of the best qwerty keyboards of all time, 3.7in screen, snappier than prevous 1Ghz processers with 800Mhz, not slide but Z-hinge that works with gravity, metal used around, and the bang for the buck I mentioned was that I got it for FREEEEEEE

Next phone, Sammy SG3. Tmo has other 3.7in screen phones as well, but as for the preference of iOS, nvm! haha. I can't wait for the iPhone 5 because, even tho I don't own Apple products as of now, I love seeing people geek out for new iPhone/iPad/iPod/iEye or whatever is next lol

Me and my welder buddy are on opposite sides of this. He's pretty hardcore Apple. I haven't EVER liked Apple (anyone remember the bomb on the original Macs? Yeah I'm old...). But we were talking about this and he was going on about how awesome the 4S was, then I showed him a high-def vid on my Nexus. He literally stopped mid-sentence with his mouth open. When the clip was over all he said was "That's a nice screen." and went back to work. I chuckled.

Yeap. Had the same thing happen to me when I first got my Nexus and was talking to my iPhone compatriots. Hehe.

In all honesty I'm not super fond of the size when it comes to 'ordinary' phone stuff. Like talking on it. And I can't just jam it in my pocket like my old Nokia. And I'm terrified of dropping it (that Nokia was a tank). Plus I fail at touch screen typing.
