Open Flash Performance Stock

Hi guys, new to the community. After buying my BRZ, it was parts galore. I reached the stage of buying an OFT, went straight to the vendor, Open Flash Performance, and bought it. Reason I did this is because 86speed and Ft86performance were both out of stock. The original vendor showed on stock. Its been a week and my order is still processing, I’ve tried emailing, messaging (Had to deal with PST to EST time difference). Submitted a ticket, and nothing. Has this ever happened before to anyone? Or has someone else tried to order directly from them and had the same issue. I’ve seen Shiv answering some post, so hopefully I have some luck.

Give them an ultimatum; if they do t update your inquiry, tell them you'll cancel your order and purchase from another source.

I ordered a flex fuel kit from them near the end of March. In April I got an email that my order was shipping, but the tracking info still has it in pre-shipment. I wasn't in a rush so I waited a couple weeks, but still no update. I emailed them in May asking for updates and they let me know that harnesses were delayed due to COVID but they should be able to get it sent out in the next couple days.

That was over a month ago and they haven't responded to any of my emails since then

Damn, now that really sucks. I mean, if at least I could have some sort of info about my purchase I'd be at ease, should've just gotten it from 86Speed and just wait. IDK if they just have weird office hours, or something they do on the side, or just a really small staff. I heard is a good product but this is the first time it's taking so long from any company I purchase from to get back to me if I have a question.

I would just go to a reputable tuning shop and have them tune it with ECUTEK. Sometimes it's less expensive than the actual tablet and you will always have a better more personalized tuned for your engine and your modifications. I hear the OFT is also limited if you ever go forced induction. Best of luck.

Also if you bought with a credit card you always have one month to file a dispute and get your money back. I would not worry too much.

OFT's are very low stock to backordered for some of their supported platforms during the pandemic. Keep contacting them, maybe try facebook comment or direct message.

These days if you need it quick then it's best to buy used. Maybe join your local ft86 facebook group and see if there is one for sale. There should be something regularly, check the classifieds here as well. The response times from OpenFlash or Shiv have slowed down quite a bit since they’re supporting other platforms. You'll definitely be waiting, keep pushing for an update or cancel order if you must.
