You can see from that teaser video there won't be Recaro Sportster CS seats.

I wonder what else would be missing...

Like always, until it's at the dealers we wont know what its got, or hasn't got.

Maybe the JMD will be the good one "like always", and other markets get the parts bin car with the old EJ25 with some marketing inspired badges, maybe RA-M (really aggressive marketing), but not the real good bits.

I'm amazed the EJ25 is still available here, it barely only passes our emmision regs, even with the air pump cheat.

It is a way to bump the sales of current year before the new STI is ready probably in 2020. I expect to use for the NA S209 model the old EJ25 engine with a small power increase. They did the same in the Japanese market with the STI TC 380 model.

This is a Toshi Arai (Arai Motorsports) x Fuji Subaru (local dealer) limited edition product (50 units only) it seems and not factory (seems much better actually with real performance and not so much lifestyle).

Yes it is not entirely factory, but it has a normal factory warranty ...

Here's the same dude test driving the RA-R. He was probably thinking I can surely out do this with my own sprint run of 50 units.

Garage
Another weakass variant from a manufacturer that cares less about performance now than possibly any point in the last 30 years.

That's cuz Subaru was supposedly have gone under 30 years ago after betting everything on the Legacy.

They probably made the Alcyone SVX with Nissan money, and the BRZ with Toyota money. No breakthrough since and broke AF (could also explain the illegal foreign workers featured on Reuters).

Well the car was revealed. Some pretty cool changes overall. Bigger turbo from HKS, forged pistons and connecting rods, I/C water sprayer, and a few other items. Still not enough for me to justify the price but at least we're finally getting a hot STI after all these years.

Hopefully they all sell quick and gives Subaru the motivation to give us more special models here in the US.

But this is SOA, they finally have a car with real actual upgrades. I'd be stunned if it was less than $50k US.
