Hmmm just got an email from Austin Subaru to bring my car in for service because there has been a recall. I am assuming its my '14 BRZ since I don't think they even know about my 2002 Impreza. It has no details whatsoever about what the recall is etc. Anybody else get this and know what the recall is for?

I have not, I would call their service dept for clarification before driving out there.

Arghhhh! Sorry, man! Hey, it was @TEWwild Tim that picked this date!!! Last time he had to work the Friday night shift and couldn't make the Sat. run we had in January so, I put him in charge of picking the next date. I guess we know now who is in charge of scheduling the date of the next 3SIST3RS run...

Awesome! I will put you on the list in the SA thread.

Yeah, linky did that to me the first time...

I just went to the above page no problem...stuck it in your quote to see if it makes any difference in the post. I originally put in the raw link and it changed wording on the post.

This is kind of a long shot, but I was curious about if anyone locally in the Austin area has installed the "Big Type R" shift knob from TWM Performance and has feedback and/or would let me see how it feels. Their return policy looks to be rather strict and combined with expensive pricing, I would like to be sure before I consider a purchase considering it would be a $200 shift knob after shipping!

Big Type R:

Got my new RP03 wheels on yesterday, boxed up the RPF1's. Now to sell those!

I'll get some pictures when this crappy weather is over. Love these wheels and they have that nice concave look because of the width too. Much easier to clean is also a huge plus. They're a tad heavier by about 2 lbs over the RPF1's but the biggest thing I like is the fact they aren't making them anymore.

So I had Bridgestone RE-11As installed on Monday night and then had to drive home in the sleet on brand new extreme summer tires. Talk about a harrowing experience! Luckily I only lost full traction once when no one was around...turns out you have to drive a tire something like 500 miles before they become as grippy as advertised...

Thank god I have autocross experience, otherwise I'd have freaked the fuck out.
