I'd get the new engine. Why would the dealership offer you a new engine if their "big mistake" that "cost(sic) [you] a lot of stress" wasn't related to the engine? Without knowing the damage the dealer caused to your engine, it's difficult to see why there would be any other options but getting a new engine.

Its too stressful to figure out whether you need a new engine or not.
Its much easier to determine if you actually need some mods or not.

Have you seen the stress levels of some people on here trying to decide on mods?
Need an engine is usually a yes or no answer.

Are the mods covered by warranty with the dealer as well and installed by them?

Somewhere buried in here is that it was a paperwork issue so I am also calling bullshit on the whole story. A paperwork mistake that causes financial stress has only one resolution - refund. And I think they should sell the car any stop causing the rest of us grief. Then cash in on sugar free gummy bears. I still stand by that being the best outcome for all of us as a whole.

EDIT: I realised others called "bullshit" so I added "also"

But we dont know if needing an engine is yes or no in this case

The other question then becomes...

Saul Goodman, or Lionel Hutz

Who's trolling!? This is a SERIOUS situation and it needs resolution beyond a NEW ENGINE.

OR DOES IT NEED MODS??!
