I don't need an engine, as I clearly said, my FRS is like new already with it's engine. So the only other route is to opt for mods that total the cost of a new engine. That is what they offered me.

But I suppose this is confusing to a lot of individuals because I didn't talk like a robot explaining things on Tik Tok, or put a giant red arrow on the text so that others can see what the core of the issue was (what mods would you opt for that total the cost of a new FRS engine).

Next time, I'll just post a Twitter post or a Tik Tok link so this crowd can better understand it.
Please consider that a post at 2 AM on a holiday weekend asking a question with absolutely no context other than a dealership screwed up.... why would they offer you something you didn't need for compensation of something that stressed you out? Stress is very different for everyone. Did they move your seat and not put it back? Did your car fall off the lift?

If they are going to compensate you from their parts catalog for the perceived value of something that's one thing. If it' s cash and your car is otherwise ok buy a pony.

No it was confusing because it was vague and lacked information.
Why the hell would a dealer offer over $10,000 because they screwed up some documents and caused you some discomfort? That is one hell of a random number for them to come up with if it wasn't a ruined engine.

And why be a total d!ick when asked a reasonable question?

What kind of mods are we talking? Anything and everything? Is this limited to the dealer/ TRD catalog of overpriced stuff?

You're original post was attempting to avoid specific details to protect something, and it started throwing red flags just trying to understand the outcome.

If any mods from anywhere, I'd go the financial mod route. Take the cash equivalent, and squirrel it away in a moderate rate CD for a number of years. Then I'd use whatever recurring intrest accrues and I'd burn the money on whatever hobby suits me at the time.

What mods depends on what you do with the car. Track car, street car, rally car? Your question is as vague as your story.

Even then "the price of an engine" would just about cover the whole thing.
Maybe the dealer is going to go shopping the aftermarket for them and pay their techs to install it all.
I want to know who this dealer is so we can recommend them to everybody!

im confused too.....

-Car got a new engine some time ago
-Dealership did something that screwed something up that we have no context on but its their fault.
-Dealership is offering a new engine or the equivalent cost in mods as compensation for their screw up.

I can't see it being anything other than some major engine screwup if the dealership is willing to provide a new engine as one of their offers.....
If its unrelated to the engine why would they offer to give a new engine.....

New FA24 would be a relatively ok investment.
At least better than Doge Biscuits right now.

If you post the beginning of a story, and an end of a story and leave out the entire middle portion for the reader to fill in using their imagination, don't get upset at them for not knowing what the heck kind of story you're trying to tell....

Always blows me away when people make crappy threads with gaps of information and lack of specificity and then get pissy at replies.

See, i can do the passive aggressive thing too!

I have read this entire thread three times now and I am still confused as all heck what is going on, who did what to your car, and how many engines it has.

This post lacks clarity, or is just complete bullshit. Why not just say "what mods would you do to your Auto FRS"? Why bother going into this elaborate story that you put together like a Goosebumps choose your own adventure book?
