Bumper scratch next to trunk
I caught my bumper cover with a pedal and got a couple scratches. The bottom scratch I'm hopeful will work out with compound and elbow grease. The top one I'm not sure how to fix. I covered it up with touch up, but was wondering how to make it look better. There are scuffs on either side of the scratch that don't show in the picture. Thanks for any help.

Get scuff plates - carbon or vinyl look.

Sorry I don't but there must be some protective film that you can cut to suit your requirements.

3M makes a carbon vinyl wrap that might work. I'm not sure how to cut it though. I might show a body shop what I'm trying to do and see what they'd charge to apply it.

If a wrap is how you want to cover it, you can get knife-less tape and lay out the lines, apply the wrap, then pull the tape. If the scratch is deep and not smooth the wrap will show it though. |

That bottom scratch is in the clear coat. It'll probably work out with compound. I'll just live with the other one. I'm getting a Slambert or something so I don't scratch it up more.

The scratch get some 400 grit and wet sand. Keep putting touch up blue in it and sanding it till it is smooth. then spray clear over it and polish.
