cool. I got mine like 2 1/2 weeks after it left the port on the train. Took like 10 days just to go from trainyard in dallas to houston.

Get hype! almost here!

Sport-tech Build with autodim mirror.

Will be adding:
- 17x8 +45s Enkei TS-10 in gold for track wheels + Toyo R888R rubber (won these thanks to Toyo's program)
- Full car PPF + tint
- TOM's racing duckbill/tail spoiler

These to follow MUCH later on this season once I've dialed in what I like and don't like:
- Raceseng Camber Plates
- SPC Camber Bolts

When does one get the VIN or the VON? I placed an order with a deposit 2 weeks ago, and this is what the dealership told me. I'm assuming that they took a deposit without having an allocation. I'm okay with that, but just curious as to how this process works.

"The order is the system but, at this point, we do not know when the vehicle will be built. I will update you as more information becomes available. There is nothing available until the vehicle is being made and that will be a VON ( vehicle order number) which will then turn into a VIN number."

A boat landed in Davisville, RI on 4/29 with a bunch of Subarus and at least one BRZ (mine ) Presumably there are more as well, and they would be showing up on dealer's sites as "In-Transit" so maybe they would be showing up on those sites as well.

Ordered at $500 off MSRP, no dealer add-ons. Alexandria VA

Beyer Subaru in Alexandria.
2023 premium, manual, silver
August estimated delivery.

I emailed many DC area dealers and got several quotes for MSRP + $799 processing with no add-ons. Some MD dealers had only $499 processing.
Estimated delivery dates varied from Aug-Dec.
Oddly several dealers said they couldn't place 2023 orders yet so I sent them the other thread from this forum showing people who had starting April 19.

I would also recommend Sheehy Subaru in Springfield VA -- they claim to have more allocations than Beyer so maybe they will do even better on price. They quoted me MSRP + $799 processing with no dealer add-ons.

Also, don't waste your time with Dulles Subaru in Leesburg -- in response to my online quote request they responded that I would have to come in to place an order (with no mention of price). When I replied asking again for a quote their reply just asked when I could come in.

Yes, thanks for that. I see a few brz's landing and getting posted on local dealer sites but they sell so quick. Yesterday, I was 3 hours too late on a BRZ 120miles away. Someone bought it.

I believe a lot of the ones that showed up online in my area were sold orders, so unless the person who placed the order backs out, they don't stay in the system for too long.

Yeah I know. Not sure the exact circumstances, but it sat on the lot for a few days before it got posted. Dealer had actually iphone pics on the site. But some one bought it hours before I finalized the deal.

When I call dealers- I don't even discuss money. I just say "I would like to buy this please". Still haven't been able to solidify one. JFC.

It's incredible that there are dealers who refuse to do any sort of business online.

I had almost my entire deal done before I stepped foot in my dealer. They had a super responsive internet team that assured me I could order without any markup/add ons. They had me build my car online and then they sent me a purchase order showing exactly what I'd be paying. I only had to go in to place my deposit and have my trade in valued. 3 months later, I picked it up.

I ordered my '23 back on April 26th. Had my VON the next day. The dealer I used here in the OKC area is estimating an August/September delivery date.

I suspect it will be more toward the end of Sept/early Oct in reality.

The strategy is that if they can get you to come in, it is more likely that their salesman magic will work and they get you to agree to a markup.

I just had close call getting a GR86 allocation last week that was foiled by this.

Put in an order last week for a Limited w/manual transmission and a short throw shifter in sapphire blue. Dealer swore up and down that MSRP was going to be the final price. Here's hoping...
