Every single Subaru Dealer in 250 mil radius (yes that includes Houston and Dallas) is not willing to sell BRZs for less than the MSRP + small markup. Even though the 2014 models will be available for ordering next month, with delivering date of October.

My suggestion is if this guy Clint, is actually selling BRZs at "Fair price" or less, (look KBB to find that out) then you will have a better deal in a BRZ if you live around Texas.

Which brings me to my question for Clint:

1) How does the warranty/maintenance works after I buy from you? Does my local Subaru dealer has to honor both even though I didn't buy it from them?

2) Does the vehicle gets registered in CO, and then I have to do a transfer to TX? or do I register my vehicle in TX, therefore paying taxes here?

I'm planning to buy my '14 BRZ this September/October. You seem like a good option for me, at least price wise.

Also to clarify some of the previous comments:

There is MSRP, Fair Price and Invoice. You do NOT want to pay MSRP for a car, ever. If you pay that plus a markup, then I don't know what to say to you. The way you buy a vehicle is doing some research in KBB and looking at the "fair price" and the range of prices that dealers have been selling that vehicle in your area. Anything at a Fair Price or less is a decent deal, not necessarily "good". I only call "good deal" when you are actually paying less than the range of selling prices for that specific vehicle, which only happens if there is a special deal, sale or high volume dealerships, like First Texas Honda in Austin or this guy here.

Yes Subaru warranty goes with the car. We're the number one dealer In the US. And I specifically sell BRZS and STIS. Dealers may give you slack when they see my plates on car so you call me and we get it squared.

2) Does the vehicle gets registered in CO, and then I have to do a transfer to TX? or do I register my vehicle in TX, therefore paying taxes here?

You register vehicle in TX and pay local sales tax.

Just for anyone in NJ, TX, CA, NY, MA.

Every customer I have sold a car to my
Price with dealer and handling, and shipping has been cheaper than they're prices out there.

Most the time my price is still below i----- with shipping and DH included for those who doubt.

Best!

This is the procedure in CA, but if the dealer you're buying from knows what to do with out of state sales, they will not title the car in the state you're buying from and let you do your own title and registration.

I don't know what everyone's deal is with the CA DMV. I planned ahead and spent probably a total of 90 minutes from start to finish to prepare all the extra paperwork to finish this. I went to the local Sheriff's station AND smogged within 60 minutes of each other, and the DMV (with appointment) took no more than 15 minutes in/out.

Putting it in plain English: I did my own paperwork, saved $2500-6000 (depending on local SoCal markup). Bought myself a drink. Patted my own back. Tooted my own horn.

Thanks for the answer.

Well looks like you will have another customer (for the '14 BRZ) in couple months or less.

I highly doubt any dealer can beat that price.
My BRZ Limited came out to just under $30,200 out the door and it was only an hour and a half drive to get the car from Modesto.

Good for you.

When I bought my car, I called every dealer in CA. No one would sell for lower than MSRP.

Maybe they're BSing me but I bought based on what was available at time of purchase.

Did you contact the internet sales guy? If you call or walk in, it will always be a higher price.

Not always. At least 3 dealers had "internet sales guy" give me the best price of..... MSRP.

Mind you, this is after I talked with the entire dealer with me giving a different name each time I called.

You must have done some awesome negotiating. They would not budge on msrp when I called a few weeks ago.

I dunno about the entire east coast, but at least here in the Northeast it was by far the best deal I could find. For reference, the next best deal on a Limited I could find within a reasonable driving distance was at Van Bortel Subaru in Victor, NY. However, their Limited listed on the website was in WRB (not my 1st or even 2nd choice of color) and was still over 30k before taxes and fees, so it would easily have been 33-34k out the door.

Bump for Clint. Incredibly easy to work with. I'm from STL and got one with him. To give you an idea of a price, I got mine shipped to my house with tint and a clear bra for thousands below what dealerships were asking before taxes and etc.
