Got my oil today, however I forgot to buy the crush washers I need. I will probably swing by tomorrow before or after work or maybe on Saturday. That all said, I will be holding off on a fluid swap in my transmission as I currently have what seems to be a faulty synchro on 5th gear and it is likely that the transmission will be getting replaced, at least according to the service rep I spoke with. Me and transmissions man, I nuke em.

So tomorrow I am going to call DIY Texas and see what I can arrange for Thursday evening for us. Anyone and everyone is invited, I am tagging those who I think might be interested and/or have projects to do that would benefit from lifts or extra hands, that said if I missed you and you want to come to install stuff, change stuff, hang out and chit chat, etc please by all means join in! I would like to have a good estimate of head count though so I can try and get multiple lifts reserved.

This sounds good! If there are more eyes around maybe it wont be that hard to take off these coilovers. Sure will be a heckofalot cheaper. I am in! hopefully Yellow13 is as well.

Have they shipped and/or do you have an ETA? I don't think it makes sense to reserve all three lifts if we only actually need 1 or 2. I'm going to call mid afternoon to give people a chance to respond.

springs are tricky.. never trusted myself to do it myself. I've never had suspension work done in austin, but you should be able to get it done for around $200-$250 with alignment.. that's what I paid for my struts on my FJ.

if you have the tool to compress springs (from autozone, like $20) it isn't that bad afaik. They may even have one at DIY texas and may be willing to help out. I could help but my knowledge of suspension systems is limited.
