Anyone else considering painting or covering the silver dash panels?

The one critique I have of the BRZ is the silver colored dash panels. And I guess to a smaller extent the silver colored trim around the shifter. I really wish these were black.

So, I'll probably investigate how best to paint or cover these parts. I hope these are easy to remove.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Have you seen one in person or just in photos? Seems like people have different perceptions based on that.

Just curious, none of the reviews I've read thought the interior silver was bad.

i wasn't to thrilled with the silver plastic parts in the BRZ. but honestly when i was actually sitting in it...for some reason the silver never registered in my head. AKA didn't bother me at all unlike what photos do.

from what i remember they are easy to remove, so;
1, you could swap for the FRS textured black panels as an option.
2. cover them in any materials you wish. ie vinyl, prints, patterned fabrics.

id strongly advice not painting interior pieces, unless you are comfortable and accustom to doing it.

At least he wouldn't have to deal with the huge oral dam in the BRZ's mouth, or its ugly LED eyebrows...

First I've seen of anyone not liking this feature.

Plasti-dip? Comes in a spray can form as well. If you don't like it, you can just peel it right off with your hands. It's a tempting cheap, easy, reversable way to change the silver if you don't like it. I'll wait and see. In the pics, the entire piece looks bland. Not sure if a color change would help it or not.

But you'll have around 3-4000 extra dollars in your pocket

If the parts aren't too expensive, I would just order a new set and paint them. And keep the original silver ones for any future buyers that want everything original.

Well, it would certainly be a lot less costly to buy the FR-S dash panels to add to my BRZ as opposed to buying all the BRZ items to add to a FR-S.

Although I must admit I do like the FR-S front end better.

But it's cool. I don't mind spending for things I want.
