I just had the Perrin transmission mount stiffener and rear shifter bushing installed. It improved the shifting feel for sure. Anyone have experience with the whiteline kit in comparison to the Perrin? I could be wrong but I don't think that the Perrin trans mount + rear bushing + whiteline kit would work together or am I wrong?

A bit OCD, but any tips for aligning the stock T-bolt when installing the whiteline bushing? Mine is rotated slightly when tightening the 17mm nut.

Just put in the whiteline kit along with the Perrin rear bushing. Great write up. My son and I kept cracking up about the parts about "much force needed". We kept making Star Wars jokes. Indeed the force was needed on that dam Perrin bushing.

So what I can say about the kit is that there is a small amount of increased drivetrain noise but that is to be expected from all of the polyurethane bits carrying noise better. However after the gearbox warms up 1st to 2nd is much easier. Including 2nd to 3rd up shifts. However 3rd to 2nd is extremely improved when downshifting.

Just did this yesterday. I don't know where people are coming up with added drivetrain noise with just the bushing. I do have an exhaust but it's a Perrin, so it's pretty quiet, and I know what transmissions sound like (had an STi with PU shift bushings, very loud whine).

Definitely improved shifts, probably due to less flex between the transmission mounts since this effectively makes it so that the rear mount doesn't have as much give. The factory setup is two pieces of rubber sandwiched inside of the mount, likely to separate the chassis acoustically. You're stuffing poly into that sandwich.

On a lift, this should take you about 45 minutes if you're going slow and reading instructions. It's that easy.

Help people, I followed the suggested torque setting for the rear # 1 mounting insulator at 50 ft lb as shown in the pic and stripped one of the thread. I can't tightened it well now. Does it matter if i leave that bolt it much as it is currently securely hold by the rear #2 mounting insulator. Or do i need things like heli coil insert to fix the stripped thread?

I'd take it to a shop and point out the problem. Shouldn't be an expensive thing to fix. This is your drivetrain its kind of important. Sorry that happened to you. Let a pro do it. Good luck!

I don't think the picture in the thread and Whiteline's provided torque specs match. Specifically the one that says 48 ft lbs in the picture. I seem to remember them all being 30 ft lbs.

Yeah they dont match. I must have followed the torque on the picture. Well I learned my lesson. Has anyone here used the loctite thread repair ?

Just on the odd chance anyone is still reading this thread, does anyone know of any comparisons between the Whiteline and the Torque solutions parts? They seem the same design. Speed factory lists stiffness ratings for the Torque solutions but I cannot seem to find any such information for the White line piece. Anyone know how they compare? Thanks.

Whats up guys! I just ordered the perrin shifter bushing and the whiteline transmission bushing but i ordered it in black; is there a difference between the black and the yellow or is it just looks to add some color to the tranny mount?
