With very few exceptions the Toyota and BRZ special editions only come in one colour. The 860 is the only one I can think of that came in two different colours.
Oh and the Monogram series but that was more a trim level than a special edition.

BRZ gave few options. tS was WRB or White. iirc Series Blue had an option for white as well... while other series didn't.

Yes, Monogram was a trim & not special edi.

It was funny when they announced you could get the Series Blue in white.

And the orange 860s that look like they just took the white ones out back and used a spray can on them.

Which is odd to me, cuz Hot Lava, they had orange base color, so it doesn't look THAT odd.

They were obviously painted offline not through the regular paint system.

The lavas have the most horrible brown base. They only look orange where the pearl coat was added.

I don't want to diss people colour choices, particularly unique ones. But yeah in low light scenarios the brown was really bad imo.

On a sunny day it looked very nice though, and certainly I think its always interesting to own a special colour even if its not the most popular looking.

While I love my lava and sought it out because it was unique and the launch color of the car in Japan, I did have long time racer and champion Peter Cunningham joke to me that the color should be called 'Duracell'.

That was a shot across the bow

Any idea if other colors will be included in the main color roster for 2023? Not saying other 10th anni colors, just new regular colors would be nice. Not very excited about any current one in particular unfortunately.

I wouldn’t count on it. Historically the only “new” colours they come out with are either slightly different shade to the existing colours or the one off special editions.
