I seem to recall Toyota saying they'll keep making the GR Yaris as long as there is demand - it's not a one or two MY and done model. I suspect the Corolla will follow suit. It may be tougher to locate the exact one you want, but barring WWIII or the continuing chip shortage, they'll be available eventually.

It's all just an exercise in patience.
The GR Yaris is a bit different....its a homologation car, meaning it needs to exist in order for Toyota to keep participating in Rallying. I think the rule is that they only needed to make 25000 production cars a year or something, but they'll ramp up the numbers if needed to meet demand (which seems to be the case)

The GR Yaris is unique in that they took a rally car and tweaked it for street use, instead of taking a regular production car and modifying it for Rally use (Which is what i believe they did with their prior Rally cars based on the Yaris and Corolla/Auris).
It is why the GR Yaris has almost nothing in common with the production Yaris (I seem to recall its just the front lights, the rear lights and the hood? Everything else about it is bespoke).

They cant kill the GR Yaris unless Toyota decides to exit Rallying. But they can kill off the GR Corolla if it eventually happens because the GR Corolla has nothing to do with Rally.

Except GR Yaris never actually went to rally.
They decided to sell the car despite a regulation change that made it irrelevant from day 0.

I see you read the history of GRY quite a bit, but not quite enough

Yeah - the rules change making the Rally Yaris ineligible makes it even more awesome that Toyota opted to continue the program honestly.

I include the 86 because it is still a small production planned vehicle. Even if they sell every one of them one year they are not going to run out and double production the next.
There will be GR Corollas for everybody that wants one. Eventually. Making tens of thousands of them the first year is just not ever going to happen no matter what the demand is or internet armchair auto execs say they should do.

Both the Yaris and Corolla are real GR cars that have little in common with their badge names.

I don't think I would say "little in common". Both cars share the same drivetrain, engine, gearbox, AWD center diff unit, and the GR Yaris shares the rear subframe of the Corolla. The weight and power difference is about 250 lbs and 40 horsepower, respectively.

They certainly aren't the same car, but share enough in common that watching reviews of the GR Yaris will give you some indication of the GR Corolla performance level.

I meant their appliance version badge name counterparts not each other.

The model and package codes for the 2023 Supra were removed from the menus in the dealer portal. I guess we weren't supposed to see them

So it might be that orange colour they used on the 2022 Subaru WRX?

Is it a new orange or has subaru used that orange before? (like on the Crosstrek)

Wouldnt doubt it.
I think BMW already pairs a 6 MT with the B58 I6 in their cars so there really wouldn't be any "development work" required to test it, except maybe tweaking the gear ratios if its not a straight up swap-in.
