I am going to join my old warframe clan. Since needing a dedicated fireteam of 6 is kinda mando now. :p

But...these people are figuring it out all for the first time. Its not like the game is dynamic (I sure hope not). Once it is figured out, the strategy will be refined to the point you could PROBABLY do it in 3 hours.

Remember the elite group of gamers that it took 45 mins just to gain entrance? Well, we know how to get inside now. It cannot take as long. Or at least it shouldn't

I dont mind the loot system, especially since it's backed up by a guaranteed way to work for purples and even gold items. I think it would be sort of lame if we all had legendary and exotic items already, the game's only been out for a week.

It seems like too much of a grind for me though. Bungie will loose so many casual gamers because they do not want to commit so much time for such a little reward. IMO.

True..

If your logic held up we'd all be hard mode wow vets as soon as the first videos went up. There a difference between watching a video doing single player and coordinating a raid.

Again true. But there is a difference between watching a live stream vs. watching a tutorial video that explains in detail every aspect of the raid. I am not saying watch a couple videos and be done - I am saying that in a month or two, when the raid process is well documented and understood, it will not take nearly as much time, because you will know what to expect & what to do.

It is still going to be very hard, but not nearly as hard as it is now

I just wish it was possible to solo it

I just wish it was possible to solo it

They'll increase the lvl cap in one of the expansions as well as add another sub-class and, like AQ40, there will be people who solo it.

On easy, but they can scale mob level to keep a static difficulty if they wanted as the cap increases.

But how?

For example, to even enter, you need to protect 3 different zones, in different places, from mobs that spawn right on them. I am totally fine waiting for the level cap to be raised, but it is still necessary for others to play alongside :/

Well I haven't seen Vault of Glass yet, but from the sound of things that definitely makes things a little interesting.

So how do 6 people protect 3 different zones. 3x2man teams?...... How far apart are these "zones" are we talking >30 second travel time to each zone?

Are we talking a room with 3 entrances?

Not gonna watch a 5 hour long youtube video on it lol

Exactly :P

@n2oinferno was partially correct when he mentioned how the game mechanics change with the raid. Unlike the style we are used to (hide in a corner shooting a bullet sponge and defending from bullet sponge's minions) we are actually required to do things (like defend check points) while shooting bullet sponge. AND - we only have :30? per change of activity to shoot said bullet sponge.

But, as far as I can tell, kill little guys while killing big guy is still the main point.

Okay so I just watched the portion you are talking about.

They spawn in 3 small radius areas. I can totally see an increased solar grenade doing the job just fine.

If the mobs remain static, like how aq40 mobs in vanilla WoW, after all the expansions and level increases, I definitely do not see a problem solo'ing that portion of the raid.
